Richard, understands numbers and turns them into something meaningful – he takes demographic and industry information and creates commercial intelligence.
Richard’s experience in regional and metropolitan Australia and in the UK and Continental Europe has given him a deep understanding of the pressures that face developers, investors and property market participants. This understanding results in a comprehensive knowledge of what it takes to make a project commercially viable and the impacts it will have on the industry and the broader economy through extensive research and analysis.
Richard’s research on likely buyer types, optimal mix of stock and product pricing presents an opportunity for developers to refine their product offer and produce the most saleable product for the market. At the other end of the spectrum, his work analysing property portfolios, providing investment strategy and performance reporting has assisted investors to outperform the market.
Richard’s ability to turn statistical data and technical jargon into something that makes commercial sense is a skill he has honed through producing market analysis, investment strategies, economic updates and public releases that can be understood by the general public.
Richard is currently completing a PhD through the QUT School of Design on the establishment of a new model of housing for South East Queensland under a triple bottom line of sustainability.
