“See things that others don’t” is the advice Shane Murphy gives to aspiring developers, advice he has been applying to his career in the development industry for over thirty years. In his position as a Director at THG, Shane makes the pieces of the puzzle fit by bringing together knowledge in planning, urban design, urban and social economics, landscape architecture, surveying, environment and project management.
Shane thinks that someone with the ability to turn information into business intelligence is one of the most valuable resources for a developer and that knowledge is the key to great projects. From project concept through to delivery, Shane has an intricate knowledge of how the system works and how to make it work for THG’s partners.
Shane’s in-depth knowledge of surveying, tenure, administrative, statutory and planning requirements as well as his experience managing complex projects for widely varying industries including land, building, environmental and infrastructure have given him a comprehensive knowledge bank to draw from.
