Partners for Liveable Communities

THG is a Foundation Member of Australia’s first national non-profit organisation focused purely on liveability – Partners for Livable Communities Australia (PLC). A national nonprofit company, the purpose of Partners for Livable Communities Australia is to help make Australian neighbourhoods, cities and regions better places to live, work and visit.

Although it is new to Australia, PLC Australia is part of Partners for Livable Communities, established in Washington, DC 30 years ago. Partners for Livable Communities has been the catalyst for billions of dollars of community reinvestment programs, including turnaround strategies for cities, neighbourhood programs that make better use of assets like libraries, advice to help make communities more age-friendly, and programs to use culture and amenity as an asset to build economic advantage.
